Chandrayaan-3 Update : Critical Spacecraft Maneuvers Successfully Executed by ISRO

In a significant stride towards its interplanetary mission, ISRO's spacecraft has triumphantly completed an orbit-raising maneuver, propelling it towards its destined journey. The maneuver, conducted from the ISTRAC/ISRO center in Bengaluru, marks a pivotal step in the spacecraft's voyage.

The meticulously planned maneuver, known as the Earth-bound perigee firing, has seamlessly propelled the spacecraft into a new orbit. With an anticipated orbit of 127609 km x 236 km, the precise outcome will be confirmed following thorough observations and analysis.

Looking ahead, the spacecraft's journey is punctuated by another crucial phase—the TransLunar Injection (TLI). Scheduled for August 1, 2023, between midnight and 1 am IST, this intricate maneuver will guide the spacecraft on its trajectory towards the Moon.

In a parallel development, the orbit circularisation phase has been initiated. Through a precisely executed maneuver, the spacecraft's orbit has been transformed into a near-circular path, measuring 150 km x 177 km. This advancement lays the groundwork for the subsequent stages of the mission.

As the mission continues to unfold, the next operation is scheduled for August 16, 2023, around 0830 Hrs. IST. With each precise maneuver, ISRO's spacecraft edges closer to its ultimate destination, promising new horizons in space exploration.
