The Hubble Space Telescope has shared an amazing picture of a faraway galaxy called NGC 6684. It's located about 44 million light-years away in the constellation Pavo, which means "peacock" in Latin. This galaxy is different from others - it's not a spiral like the famous Andromeda Galaxy, but it's not a circle either. It's somewhere in between, and that's why it's called a lenticular galaxy.
NGC 6684 looks soft and ghostly because it doesn't have the dark lines that many other galaxies do. This special picture was taken as part of a big project to learn more about galaxies near us. Hubble is trying to look at all the galaxies it hasn't seen before, to learn more about the stars and how they live in different galaxies. This helps scientists understand more about our universe.
